Parvovirus Infection in a Puppy

videos

Young, unvaccinated puppies can easily become infected by parvovirus. This virus is passed through infected diarrhea in doggie areas like parks, schools, and dog friendly streets, paths, and trails. The virus can live for 6 months to two years outside a puppy while it waits for the next victim.
Infected puppies are sick, don’t want to eat, vomit, and have bloody runny diarrhea
2-3 vaccines at monthly intervals with the last given after 16 weeks will usually prevent the disease.
