To get your dog an Orapup, feel free to click here… http://www.orapup.com/YouTube {I just went online to order a green one, and noticed that they are offering a 25% discount AND free shipping right now… awesome!}
Braidy has become a full-fledged member of our family, if you cannot already tell, and it is only fitting that we show you how we take care of him, too!
Once a week we give Braidy a bath. Our twins particularly enjoy helping, because they think it is funny how fluffy Braidy looks so fluffy at first, and then turns into a “cute” rat when he is wet! To me, he always looks at us so vulnerably!
To bathe Braidy, we use warm water and a conditioning shampoo recommended by our vet. {We suggest you do the same for your dog.} Bathing Braidy takes about 5 minutes.
To dry Braidy, we use a hairdryer on a “warm” setting and never keep the heat in the same place. We also never fully dry him, because we do not want to dry out his skin. {Please do not use high heat… doing so will run the risk of burning/hurting your dog and causing the skin to become dry and damaged. Drying Braidy takes about 10 minutes.
When he is nearly dry, we brush out his hair. My mom bought him a Goody ouch-less brush {with Braidy’s name written on it} that we use. We like it because it does not pull on his hair. This process also helps “fluff” him up, so he is super cute! Brushing Braidy takes about 1 minute.
Then, we clean Braidy’s tongue with an Orapup and bacteria-fighting gel. This has to be Braidy’s most favorite part of bath night! He LOVES that gel! Anytime he sees that brush, he gets excited! As he licks the brush, the bristles scrape the bacteria off of the tongue… which helps eliminate nasty “Dog Breath.” Brushing Braidy’s tongue takes about 1 minute.
No, we do not put a bow in Braidy’s hair, but we do clip his nails every few weeks or so. We could not show you here, because his nails were still short from the last time they were cut.
Hope you enjoyed this little snippet of our life outside of hairstyles, and be sure to take care of your dog like we do Braidy!
