TIP 3: How To Stop Puppy Food Aggression

Stop puppy food aggression easily with this technique.

DO NOT USE THIS TECHNIQUE WITH ADULT DOGS!

Beginning (2 – 3+ days duration)
1. Get your puppy to stand or sit in front of you and the empty food bowl.
2. Show your puppy the food in your hand.
3. Bring your hand slowly to the empty bowl.
4. While your puppy is looking or sniffing your hand drop the food in the bowl and remove your hand.

Middle (1-2+ week duration)
1. Repeat steps 1-3 from Beginning.
2. While your puppy is looking or sniffing your hand drop the food in the bowl and keep your hand in the bowl.
Note: If your puppy still growls or nips at you repeat beginning technique for another 2-3days

Final (1-2+ weeks duration)
1. Repeat steps 1-2 from Middle.
2. While your puppy is eating move the bowl around and pet their back.
Note: If your puppy still growls or nips at you repeat middle technique for another 1-2 weeks.

There is no quick fix to stopping your puppy’s food aggression. It’s not impossible it just takes time and patience. Good luck!
